Autocorrect

Post by carlac »

I am a recent beginner user and have open office on my laptop. I recently installed it on my desktop. I have added hundreds of entries to my autocorrect. Is there a way to transfer this file? If so....how do I do it? Not that I have noticed any difference, but just FYI I have Vista on my laptop and XP on desktop.

Check out this thread from the old forum: SOLUTION: to import autocorrect files.

Please edit your first post (Edit button) and add [Solved] to the subject line if this resolves your issue.
Cheers!

You mean the OOo Autocorrect file used on your laptop? If so, just copy and paste the files in your OOo user profile \Users\<name>\AppData\Roaming\OpenOffice.org2\user\autocorr (Vista) to \Documents and settings\<user>\Application data\OpenOffice.org2\user\autocorr (XP).
LibreOffice 25.2 on Linux Mint Debian Edition (LMDE 7 Gigi) and 25.2 portable on Windows 11.
