[Dropped] Envelope feature crashing program

Have used Apache OpenOffice for quite some time, however, having moved cross-country in the last several months, I'm finding for WHATEVER reason, the WRITER funtion - Envelope - isn't allowing editing of either TO or FROM addresses - CRASHING the entire program!
I Don't understand the problem, since the printer which I'm using is the same (which shouldn't affect a computer program / it's something within the
program that's malfunctioning))!
Any suggestions for resolving this problem would be appreciated before I remove the program from my system opting for one which works!

First, reset your user profile. It will mostly fix rare undefined behavior of AOO.

Thought that that fixed the problem, however, I was WRONG!
Using WRITER this mornin to write a letter to a friend and attempt the ENVELOPE utility - Crashing the system still!

Did you have installed AOO with admin rights?

Yes. Envelope option still crashing when attempting to update TO/FROM addresses

Here too, there aren't enough details. What do you mean by "update"?
TO or FROM field does not exist in the dialog:
