Suddenly I have numbers like 29661731 and 20500271 appearing in some cells of the column for the dates of bank transactions.
From "Tips for better descriptions of the Problem"
Do you remember anything special before the issue appeared ? NO
OS upgrade, application installation, firewall/antivirus update... NO, using W10, upgraded to MalwareBytes PREMIUM recently
Does the problem happen with a number of different files or only one (or a few) specifically? Does it happen only with new files? Only with pre-existing files? Only with files of a particular format? I use .ods or .xls. of the same file. Both versions are showing the problem.

Can you upload a version of the file? You can delete most of the content and just leave a few cells showing the problem. To upload a file, click Post Reply and look for the Attachments tab just below the box where you type a response.

Re: Big numbers in my date column
According to [Solved] $values from CSV export you are importing CSV files into Calc.Oohappyuser wrote: ↑Wed Nov 13, 2024 6:57 am Suddenly I have numbers like 29661731 and 20500271 appearing in some cells of the column for the dates of bank transactions.
• Did you forget to select Detect Special Numbers?
• Did you forget to mark the field as a date?
• Did you select the correct date format, YMD, DMY, or MDY?
When importing CSV a common mistake is to accept all of the defaults in the Text Import dialog. This tutorial explains what to do.
[Tutorial] Text to Columns
If the problem is caused by incorrect import of a CSV file, the damage has already been done to the spreadsheet and attaching that won't help us determine the cause. What we really need to see is a few lines from the CSV file before the import. The lines need to contain the dates which produce the unexpected numbers. Attach the CSV file demonstrating the situation (remove confidential information then use Post Reply, not Quick Reply, and don't attach a picture instead of the document itself). Or paste the relevant lines from the CSV into a Writer document and attach that. I will not help further unless you attach. You can probably solve the problem yourself if you just make the correct choices in the Text Import dialog.
If this solved your problem please go to your first post use the Edit ✏️ button and add [Solved] to the start of the Subject field. Select the green checkmark icon at the same time.
