Download, Install, Not Working

Post by akapearl »

Greetings

New to Mac and to Open Office. I need answers for a "dummy."

I downloaded OpenOffice for OSX10.4. Did the install. When I double clicked on the icon in Applications folder, the icon moved to dashboard and bounced. When I double clicked there, a prompt came asking if I wanted to use Apple fonts. I clicked ok. And nothing happens thereafter; only a timed out prompt.

The X11 came installed and is in the Utilities folder.

I can't think of what other information you may need to answer this question.

Thanks.

Do you launch X11 first?

NB: I move your thread in the Mac section, you should browse it, you may found the answer here.

Thanks to add '[Solved]' at beginning of your first post title (edit button) if your issue has been fixed.
