The Draft Proposal for governance and operation of the OpenOffice.org Forums

The Draft Proposal is the work of the OpenOffice.org Forums operators, with
consultation of Apache contributors.

It is proposed to discuss this proposal for at least 6 days starting now,
Tuesday 2011-10-11, and ending at midnight Monday, 2011-10-17T24:00Z.

Once discussion of the Draft Proposal has quieted by that time or later,
discussion can stop. If it is then evident that a ratifying ballot on
acceptance of the Draft Proposal by the Apache OO.o Podling can be held, a
separate [VOTE] will be initiated on the ooo-dev list for that purpose.
Ratification of the Draft Proposal will establish the commitment of the Apache
OO.o Podling to implementation of the proposal and honoring its provisions for
governance of the OpenOffice.org Forums as part of the Apache OO.o Podling.

Questo annuncio di Drew Jensen è legato al necessario passaggio dell'infrastruttura di OpenOffice.org ad Apache.

La migrazione del forum è già avviata (Apache ospita già il codice di OpenOffice.org, che viene regolarmente sviluppato, e il Bug Tracker, migrato il mese scorso) e si è già controllata la fattibilità tecnica.

Il messaggio di Drew spiega i punti "burocratici" necessari per completare il trasferimento. Io li ho rivisti e li trovo perfettamente accettabili, quindi spero che possiamo presto spostare il forum sui server di Apache senza disagi per gli utenti.

La proposta è stata accettata con nessun voto contrario e una trentina di voti favorevoli (tra cui, per quanto riguarda questi forum, il mio e quello di RGB):

Entro una settimana (cioè entro fine ottobre) si trasloca.

Non cambierà l'indirizzo (o almeno l'attuale indirizzo continuerà a funzionare), non cambieranno gli utenti, non cambieranno le password e non sarà necessaria alcuna azione da parte degli utenti. Però aspettatevi qualche interruzione dei servizi durante la migrazione nei prossimi giorni.

Ormai anche la migrazione DNS sembra completa, il forum è adesso utilizzabile sulla nuova infrastruttura, senza alcun cambiamento per gli utenti (anche l'indirizzo ovviamente rimane lo stesso).
