I just downloaded the OO, and I am trying to open word documents (2002 version) to edit a newsletter I have created. Everytime I try to do this, it takes forever and says it is importing the doc, then it ends up shutting down, and then it says it will recover the document and send an error report. Any advice? I need to get this newsletter out, and was having problems with my old version of word being compatible with VISTA. Thanks!

LibreOffice 25.2 on Linux Mint Debian Edition (LMDE 7 Gigi) and 24.8 portable on Windows 11.
