My son didn't have Word so I downloaded Open office. He typed up his project with pictures and now I can't open it up to print it. What is odt and how do I change the document so that it can print?

A ".odt" file is an OpenOffice text document. You can open it with OpenOffice ("OOo").

You can either download OOo yourself--it's free--or you can ask your son to send you his file in MS Office format (File > Send > Email as MS Word), or save a copy of his file in MS Word format.
