[Solved] Any patch for .docx or .xlsx soon?

Does anyone in the community know about a patch for working with Office 2007 documents? My employer uses Office 2007 and I only use Open Office at home, so it is tricky to receive documents from the office by email unless my colleagues convert the files back down to .doc or .xls first before sending them to me.
Any ideas if a patch for Open Office is being built or even possible?
Gracias

Hello, and welcome to the forum.
In the
Survival Guide for the forum, we ask that you please use the Search tool before posting a new topic. This helps (or should help) keep the number of repetitive questions to a minimum, and helps users find the answers that are already documented so we avoid duplication of effort in replying to posts, and avoid having to post replies like this one.
If you had searched for .docx or .xlsx you would have found a number of topics, mostly about that very question. Here's one that I think will especially interest you:
MS Office 2007 file format (docx, xslx, pptx, ppsx)
