Is there a version of open office for a iPad or tablet? If so where can I find it for download?

There may be some other alternatives since.

I use
AndrOpenOffice on my Android tablet, with minimal difficulties (most of which are due to things like alarms coming up on top of the screen while I'm trying to work)
