After getting a new computer with windows 10 and loaded with Open office I downloaded my old files from windows office and word. Everything worked fine for about a month than it stopped.
Now when I try to make a new document with Open Office or work on an old one with some changes it will not save them.
When I try to save them I get a pop up that says; (You can't save here. Please choose another location).

Where do you try to save your files? On your hard drive? In the cloud? On a CD?

I go to My PC and open documents for work that I have tried to make changes to. When I would use Open Office Text Documents for a letter or something like that I would just save it and it would go into my pc documents. This was working fine for over a month and then it just stopped the other day. Thanks joe

See the graphic. The box in red at the top tells where you are trying to save your file. On your pc that place is probably not accessible or you don't have the privileges to save there. Change it something where you can save your files. Please note this: Practically nobody else is having this problem, it's something on your computer.
It's also important to keep an eye on the box in red at the bottom - it will make sure that your apps can recognize your files.

Thanks, you got me working again. When I looked at the top of my screen where you had (This PC-Downloads circled) mine was different. I changed it back like it was and everything started working again. Thanks again joe
