Anyone know of a download for openoffice 2.3 to allow it to open word perfect documents such as .wpd
When I try it I get a general input output error.
Thank you

Please read the Survival Guide for the forum for next threads. What's your OOo version ?
The import filter is available from at least the 2.3 version.

LibreOffice 25.2 on Linux Mint Debian Edition (LMDE 7 Gigi) and 25.2 portable on Windows 11.

That's a very generic error that could have a number of causes. Is the wpd file in the same location as other non-wpd files? You're able to open the other files just fine? Are you sure it's a viable file, not corrupted?hchristensen wrote:When I try it I get a general input output error.

As the post has been edited twice, I think it has been added afterwards because I admit I sometimes miss it when it's in the title but right in the text like thatfoxcole wrote:I believe that's been coveredHagar de l'Est wrote:What's your OOo version ?:

Could you attach a file or give a link to a file that doesn't work ? I'd tried some times ago with a file on the web and it did work.

Maybe the WPD version is too recent for OOo. If you have access to WordPerfect, try saving back to an earlier WPD version.
