[Solved] Printing in color problem

Post by pauliw25 »

Hi all,

I am using OO Beta 3.
My operating system is Vista SP1

Today I bought a new 3 in 1 printer - a Epson Stylus CX7400 Series.

The problem is when I use Writer and try to print in color - the text prints only in black.
In order to verify that this was not a printer or printer driver problem - I copied the line of text I wrote and pasted it in my old MS Word 2000 application and tried printing to the Epson. From MS Word - the print came out in color. (In this case - bright red).

Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this problem?

Thanks!

Paul

Check the settings under File > Printer Settings > Properties > Device. If "color" is set to "From driver" it should detect that it's a color printer, but you can try changing that to "color" and see if it make any difference.

You can also check under File > Print > Options > Content > Print black: OFF

Thanks for your reply - That resolved the problem. I double checked and saw all my printer settings outside of OO was set for color. However, I did not check OO's settings.

Your suggestion fixed it.

Thanks!
