I'm trying to upload a book I've written to CreateSpace, but it is telling me to embed my fonts. I can't see anywhere to do this in Open Office. Help please!

Greetings and welcome to the community forum!

Are you uploading the ODT file (*.odt)? Or a pdf?

As far as I know, self-publishers work with pdf, which includes the fonts when you export from OO with the default settings.

You can embed the fonts into an ODF document with the LibreOffice.
The font embedding is not automatic. Go to File > Properties, click on the Font tab and check the box that says "Embed fonts in the document". (Note: The result maybe will depend on the licence of the used fonts.)

(Do you mean I first have to download LibreOffice - or is this the same thing ...?) I'll certainly try this from Open Office. Many thanks.

The LibreOffice was a fork of OpenOffice.org and is built on the original OpenOffice.org code base. The LO was intensively developed in the last time, and it has many new features compared to the AOO. The latest version of the LO is '5.1.2'.
