[Solved] Detective: View dependents from another sheet

Hi. I have a long complicated formula with a load of references to cells on another sheet in the same file/project. I am getting the "dead end" blue square trace for all those but can see the references on the current sheet in the regular manner. I have performed the required forum topic search and found similar threads a while back and suggestions that it's raised as an issue. Are there any recent developments to enable tracing beyond the current sheet showing the subject cell? Thanks in advance for your help.

Issue 44828 - tools-detective-trace for cross-sheet formulae

No. From reading the issue log it seems as if none of the unpaid, volunteer Open Office developers has much interest in the issue. If it's really important to you, offer to help. And if you're thinking "I don't know how to program", remember that none of the current developers were born knowing how to program either. All of them had to learn their skills.

Hi MrProgrammer. Thank you for your response. I am fully aware of the open source structure and assist in communal activities where my efforts are best placed. Sometimes I dip my toe in to gain benefit from the pool of efforts out there. I'm sure it all works out by the duckworth lewis in the end. I am getting my head round html at the moment and don't want to get confused. Thank you nonetheless for the confirmation.
