[Solved] Installing two different language versions.

Hi

I want to install both an English version and a French version on the same machine.
I installed the French version first - everything went fine. I installed it in the folder 'Open Office (French)'.
I then installed the English version (in the folder 'OpenOffice 2.4 (English)') and it appeared to go OK except for some of the installation info messages appearing in French! However, when the install finished, I was unable to use the French version - it could not be found.

I downloaded a new French version and atttempted to install it (in a folder 'OpenOffice 2.4 (French)') but soon after starting the install, it came back with words to the effect 'This version is already installed' (in French) and aborted the installation.

Is there a way for me to install (and be able to use!) both a French version and an English version?

All comments greatly appreciated.

Cheers.

John.

Install the English version and the French language pack / Pack langue Fr (see http://fr.openoffice.org/about-downloads.html). You (and other users) will be able to choose the GUI language from options.

See here: Change language for user interface (menus & help files).

Thanks to add '[Solved]' at beginning of your first post title (edit button) if your issue has been fixed.
