Use of radio buttons to select/activate another control

Post by Wantstolearn »

Hello

Im using Windows Xp ad Open Office 2.4 my question concerns the use of radio buttons within a base form . Where I have three types of data entry available choosing from a library of info, from regulations and then from manual entry . I have a radio button for each section all of which can be used to the display in a table the type of method used ie 1 for library. What i would like to do is use the radio button not only to telll me in the table the input method chosen but to visually alter the form when the user selects the radio button of their choice jump this leads to the appropriate listbox which allows them to select the data from that source . Such as select library then the other two are faded out and then go to the library list box to choose from the library sources.

Is this possible ? All help would be greatly appreciated :)

Welcome, Wantstolearn!
I've moved this topic to the Base forum, where it might get attention and perhaps an answer more quickly.

Interesting question! Good luck.
Cheers!

Hi Wantstolearn!
I work with dialogs not forms so I can't help here exactly.
Anyway, download X-Ray tool, and examine your controls.
I'm pretty sure that there is some property like object.Enable or object.Visible, which can be True or False, and some method like object.setFocus...

Well, as it was in the Tutorial>Base forum, I've moved it to the Base>Forms forum. 8-)
