Hello,
I have problems with the appearance in all the different part of OpenOffice. Each time a window pops up when I want to make a PDF for example, there is no text. Also the rulers in Writer and Calc are appearing just a tiny bit, they look like hidden on top. And I have all kind of appearance problems in every bars on top, on the bottom, everywhere.
I am attaching some screen shots because it is not so easy to describe and there is so many little issues.
I have deinstalled and reinstalled OpenOffice several times but it didn't change anything.
I would be super happy if someone could help me

Clear and recreate your font cache. See this thread for a similar problem

I have a similar issue. Graphics, photos, anything that I add to a file using the command Insert>Picture>From file... only shows up as a box, largely blank except for the words "graphics 1" (or 2, or 3, etc.) and a tiny graphics symbol: I used to be able to see the graphics. I would love to see them again! BTW, they show up in the Print Preview box.
I'm running version 4.1.2 on a MacBook, OSX 10.9.5.
Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I'm a new user here, but I recently "fixed" this issue. OP doesn't mention if the program ever showed things properly, I've been and still am a happy user of OO. It didn't have this problem.
Working in a book for a client and I needed to install a new font some DIN style. As soon as I'd done that, this problem occurred.
I'm yet to read RoryOF's link, I only wanted to say that removing the font brought everything back to the way it was.

If the program was working well up until some point in time, think about what changes/installations may have happened, roll them back/remove them and see if you've found your issue.
