[Solved] Writer Merge w/JRE error message
When I try to do a mail merge from writer tools, I get an error message saying I need a JRE. I have un-installed both OpenOffice and Java to no avail. I have checked to make sure Java is listed in writer and it is. Don't know what to do next to get writer to recognize Java.

Re: Writer Merge w/JRE error message
Make sure that you enable Java (Tools -> Options -> Java) Select Use a Java runtime environment. When the list with available jre's has loaded (will take some time), make sure that you click the tiny circle to the left of the one you want to use. If the list doesn't load, you probably deleted the installation files. In that case do a new install and don't delete those files.
LibreOffice 25.8.4.2 on Ubuntu Linux
