Welcome beginner. Please answer all of the questions below which may provide information necessary to answer your question.

Which version of OpenOffice.org are you using? 2.4 portable
What Operating System (version) are you using? W XP
What is your question or comment? I am new to Open Office and always used to used MS access for my database needs.
I would like to create a table with either combo box or list box in my new table/form. In MS office there was a wizard for entering values for list box. I can not figure out how to define values for either combo box or list box in Base. I already looked through the manual and it is very unclear. Please guide me. I am very lost. It should be simple and intuitive but it is not.
Thanks

Re: Combo Box or List box
Hi,
I know this is an old post. Have you managed to do it?
I move this thread from the Beginner section to the Base>Form forum, you'll get more answers I think.

Re: Combo Box or List box
You can either do it manually or use the wizard.
1) Wizard: Make sure the Wizards are activated. Click on the Wizards on/off button on the form controls toolbar--see illustration here. The Wizard will guide you through the table/source and column selection procces.
2) Manually: Select the Data tab of the list box properties dialog. Select a content type and the Content. If you choose SQL as the content type, you can either enter an SQL command, or use the query builder.
NOTE: You can only do this in a form. You can NOT have a lookup in a table as Access.
