[Solved] Bullet list default item 4.1.1

Since updating openoffice to 4.1.1. my default bulletlist is a circle with 10 in it. Old ducuments with default bulletlists get this strange 'cue ball' with 10 on it.
How can I change it back?

Do you mean like this ➓?
If so, it looks like that has the Dingbats font assigned to it. Unfortunately I have no idea how to get rid of it.

hahah, yeah that looks like it.
It's really annoying, I have to change it everytime to option 2 with official printdocuments

No, don't change it. It might be a career enhancer.
I suppose you could try the standard: Try resetting the
user profile.
If that does not work maybe a new installation?

no succes..
Let's call it a career enhancer!
aha something has overwritten something...
It could be an other program that did it.. but I noticed it when I first used Open Office 4.1.1..
Btw open office 4.1.1. is a lot faster than the previous version that I used before, version 3.4.?

Perhaps you could upload a small example?
It would be interesting to see if we get the same display on other machines. I am wondering if it is something so very specific to your machine that we would not get the font substitution, for lack of another word, on other machines.

I think (and I should state that I loathe and detest bullets and numbering so don't use them, much like jrkrideau and footnotes) if you turn on the
Stylist (Format /Styles and Formatting, or F11), click on second icon from left for Character Styles, bottom dropdown to All, and Right click on Bullets, select Modify, Font tab, it will show the font in use. On my system (Xubuntu) it is OpenSymbol.
You should be able to change the font required in that style definition. Remember that you can also force font substitution in /Tools /Options /OpenOffice /Fonts. Remember to check the "Apply replacement table" box.

Somehow OpenSymbol.ttf was removed...
Just reinstall the font and the problem is fixed!
I love bullets, but only on paper
thnx!
