Hello,

OOo 4.4.1.on Mac OS X 10.10.4

I did a search and found many similar topics on footer data but none seem to address my problem.

I selected View / Header and Footer ... / ...
I selected the "Slide number" check box and also the "Do not show on first slide"

Slide numbers appear on slides 2, 3, and 4 but not on any others.

Then I re-opened the dialog and clicked "Apply to All" but that seemed to do nothing.

I HAVE NOT touched the slide masters for this .odp file. I created the file on my Mac originally; it is NOT a converted .ppt or pptx file.

Help please...?

It works for me as you expected on AOO4.1.1 (Windows7prof64bit)

I did some experimenting....

If I create a new document and apply the header/footer the page numbers appear as expected.

The difference is that, for the file in question that's not working, I originally tried to create it from a template. I now suspect that's the problem. On the first slide, I see the name of the template in the bottom status area. I've attached a screen grab. See the red circle that highlights the template name which is "red-line-title-1".

I do not see this template name on any slide other than the first slide. Instead I see the name "Default," which I presume refers to the Default template.

So, for starters, how can I remove from my .odp file all association with the template named "red-line-title-1?"

Thanks,

Closing this issue as I can make it work properly with a new test file. I suspect the problem I had was related to the incorrect definition of a template file from which I created my original presentation. But I won't address the template problem here. I'll start a new thread to avoid discussing two issues in the same thread.
