[Solved] Apply template to existing document?

Is there a way to apply a template to an existing document?

I did an email to a group of recipients, but I have several in the group that do not have an email address, so I'm sending a letter via the postal service.

I wanted to directly apply my letterhead template to the document I'd used for the Writer document I'd used for the email merge. I know I can copy the text to a new document, based on the template. But, is there any way, once a document is created, to change the template upon which it is based?
