ANIMATED GIFs ►Exporting each separate frame?

I must be dense because I've read the tutorials & help files but I can't seem to understand the process. I have a little animated gif file (call it "little.gif") and I need
each of its 8 frames to be separated out into their static files (little1.gif, little2.gif etc.). The file opens in OODraw — by the way, how can I pause the loop?

it's driving me crazy! — the file opens but shouldn't I see somewhere thumbnail indicia of each of the 8 little frames?
Thanks for any help!

(If the picture was created by you, then you must have the pictures of the phases.) (?)
Can you upload your example Draw file with the animated gif picture here?
You can handle animated pictures in Impress only. In Impress you can delete phases from the picture, and can export the remaining (one) phase.

Impress can create an animated Gif (see help). But it cannot decompose the frames of an animated gif.
Use instead an application dedicated to images. For example : Irfanview, menu Options > Extract all frames...

Here is my example file. It contains an animated gif and on another slides are two phase exploded from the oroginal picture.
On a copy of embedded GIF: Select the picture - Insert - Animated image -

It wasn't. I also can't do it with the Microsoft Ani Gif utility because I'm on a dying computer and any program I use has to have a dedicated operations/memory structure independent of the OS or it crashes.

Ah!

Why on earth is there nothing, not even one sentence, referencing "Impress"? Instead there is an entire chapter on Animation which is useless to a user such as myself. I'll probably have additional questions but for the time being a huge
thank you Tibor & Bernard.

I don't understand how you explode the frames. Do you mean you delete all frames except one, then click Create ?

Yes. The AOO/LO Impress will create an another image based on the original one, but it will contain one phase only.
