[Solved] 'File' type document

Post by philip »

Welcome beginner. Please answer all of the questions below which may provide information necessary to answer your question.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Which version of OpenOffice.org are you using? 2.4
What Operating System (version) are you using vista home premium
What is your question or comment? I saved a document and under type it says 'file' rather than odf text document(.odt). How do I change it to an odt document? Thanks.

I should have made it more clear that when I go to 'my documents' to access it the word 'file' rather than 'opendocument' appears under the type heading. Nothing appears under the type heading in the 'open' (a document) window of openoffice .

See here: [Solved] I can not save a file as an .odt, .ott, doc, .pdf.

Thanks to add '[Solved]' at beginning of your first post title (edit button) if your issue has been fixed.
LibreOffice 25.2 on Linux Mint Debian Edition (LMDE 7 Gigi) and 24.8 portable on Windows 11.
