[Solved] Removing all images from a large document?

Post by RavenclawRiddle »

Is there any way to remove all the images at once from an OpenOffice document? I copy-pasted a rather large thread over from a forum, unfortunately all the profile pictures came along and it's going to take me about forever to pick them all out manually. They are also slowing down OpenOffice just by being there.

Thanks!

It might be faster to copy the thread again, then paste in AOO using Edit > Paste Special > Unformatted Text.

I will try this. Is there a way to copy the entire document at once?

EDIT: Nevermind, found it.

A very crude way is to unzip the odt file and delete the contents of the Pictures folder. It will remove the images but leave the gaps where the images would have been.

Edit > Select all selects the entire document.

If this solves the problem, please edit your original post title to [Solved].

See the Writer Guide, the Writer FAQ, the Writer Tutorials and Writer for students.

Remember: Always save your Writer files as .odt files. - see here for the many reasons why.
