Can`t open .pages files

Hi!
My school uses Fronter to communicate with the students, and some of the teachers uses .pages when they publish papers and assignments etc. I think I have found out that .pages is an apple file, but can`t figure out how to open it.
I tried to find some info by searching, but because I`m new here, and my final exam is next week I don`t have time to figure out how to narrow the search down so that I find info about Apples .pages, not pages i general.
Would really appreciate some help
Btw, i have OO4 and Win7
