Fault with label printing

I printed my Christmas Card address labels (thanks to the advice of JohnV). However now they're printed there appears to be a fault with the Writer / Calc interface. The labels have taken the Country field not from the correct address row in the spreadsheet but from the next row down. So they're all wrong.
Any thoughts?

Turn on View > Field Names (don't worry how it looks; it's only temporary) and look for an extra "Next Record" field. Remove that, or move it to the end of the label, and you should be fine.

Acknak, Many thanks for your patient help in sorting that out.
At a more minor level, is there a way of suppressing printing empty fields in the labels? Sometimes there are two address entries before 'City', but sometimes only one, so my labels have a blank line printed where there is just the one.

Yes, but it's a big P-I-T... nuisance. It causes no end of trouble.

The essence of it is that you have to manually add a hidden paragraph field that says "If this database field is blank, hide this paragraph". What's more, the standard label setup is not compatible with this field because the standard labels use a single paragraph with several line-breaks.

Try a search on oooforum--or maybe someone here can give you a pointer to a good description of how to do this. If you don't find anything, just yell and I'll see if I can find something.

See chapter 11 in the Writer Guide (click the link in my sig line below). At the end of the chapter are some tips on removing blank lines in form letters, in labels and in envelope addresses.
