Hi all,
OS: Solaris 10 x86
current openoffice: 2.4
desired openoffice: 2.4.1
I'm trying to install openoffice-2.4.1 but I don't want to upgrade my existing version. I prefer to install the new version into a different directory and test it out before linking it into the production environment. The setup script recognizes my existing 2.4 installation and the browse button is grayed out. I can't select a directory other than the existing installation directory. I've tried changing the defaultdir variable in the setup.xpd file to no avail. Is there any way to get the setup program to forget about my existing installation and just do a fresh install in the directory of my choice?
Thanks for any and all help.
