[Solved] Desktop Shortcuts on a Mac

Post by supernova190 »

I'm running OO 2.4 on mac OS X 10.4.11. The only way i can get to any app other than writer is to open up writer and click new and then choose which type of document i want. Is there any way to put Icons for each individual app on my desktop?

Thanks for the help.

It might work to save blank documents (or templates) of each type on your desktop, and double click the appropriate one. I know that works for native mac apps, but I'm not sure if it will work with an X11 application.

It is my understanding that OpenOffice.org 3.0 will open to a menu where you can choose which module (Writer, Calc, etc.) you want to work with. So hopefully you won't be inconvenienced too much longer.
