[Solved] Spellcheck doesnt work with large files.

Anyways, Ive been writing some fairly large documents. (82 pages+) and it seems that somewhere through the typing process spell check either doesn't work properly or stops working completely on the document. The problem seems exclusive the large documents. However it does not cause problems to large documents pasted into Open Office, or ones written in another word processor. The problem happens only when you write them in open office. My most recent document stopped working after the 25th page. I have experienced multiple problems such as, spell checking not working altogether(The red lines and the Window). Spell checking only working on the first few pages, Spell checking only working on certain words. And spellcheking one instance of a word while ignoring another. The problem has happened on three computers, (both xp and vista) the files have been the same, however the problem has occured on different machines. This has been very frustrating, Any help is well appreciated.

82 pages is not a large document — 820 pages is a large document.

I see, that article on top gave me the wall of texts smash. You may want to remove it to reduce further problems.

Do you by any chance have some very long (multi-page) paragraphs in your document?

If so, then this may be your problem: Issue 85570: Display performance problem with AutoSpellCheck in very long paragraphs.

One thing you can try is to turn off the auto-spellcheck (check as you type), and simply run a normal spellcheck (Tools > Spellcheck, or F7, or the toolbar). If it succeeds in checking the whole text, that will give you a workaround and narrow down the problem to the auto-spellcheck function.
