I can not seem to get 4.2.1 installed or at least get OO to know it has been updated.
It downloaded while I was running OOCalc in a non-admin user, and saved on that User's desktop.
Installed failed. I then copied to Public and Installed from my Admin account.
Now every time I start an OO application the download starts again.

Is OO so simple minded it can not tell what level is installed?

Please read the Survival Guide for the forum. Don't post in an existing thread if it's not exactly the same problem. I've split the thread and moved it to the Setup & Troubleshouting forum. Which OS BTW? Windows I guess.

See that thread for a starter: keeps prompting "OOo update available".

If you're running Vista, see last comments, that should do the trick: keeps prompting "OOo update available".
