Right now Impress gives you the option to set the presentation display to display 1,2,3+, or all. But I need it to display on 2 and 3. Display 2 is for audience and display 3 is for presenter. Does anyone have any advice on how to do this?
OpenOffice 4.0.0
OS: Windows Vista Business, SP2
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForge GT 220 (Display 1,2)
VGA USB Adapter: DisplayLink Graphics (Display 3)

The idea is that the Presenter has the display console on one screen and the presentation on another, this is usually sufficient, as the display console offers various display options to the presenter, which include reduced images of the slides options (now/next) and notes.
Can you not connect as follows: GT220 screen 1 to beamer for audience, GT220 screen 2 to Presenter using Presenter console extension (reach this setup through /Slide Show /Slide Show settings, multiple monitor setup), and not connect the VGA USB adapter?
Edit: I have one machine with a dual display adapter and an inbuilt video connection (currently disabled in BIOS). I'll try re-enabling the inbuilt video and fiddle with the setup; it won't be quite the same as using your VGA/USB connector but might give some clue as to settings.
My memory is that the computer became confused between the inbuilt Intel adapter and the extra ATI HD5450 card; once I had a dual screen setup for editing I didn't need the third connection and disabled it, but I'll try it again.
Today being Sunday with possible visitors, my tests may not be immediate. |

The problem is the slide presentation is in the middle of a larger show, and the main controls are on screen 1, and text ques for the stage on screen 3. The program I use for this is MediaShout, which allows me to import .ppt files but I get the same problem of a blank screen 3.
Currently I minimize MediaShout and open Impress so our portable clicker works and the presenter can control their slide presentation, but they have to keep looking behind them to see whats on screen 2. Then when they are done I minimize Impress and reopen MediaShout to finish the show.

I tried enabling the inbuilt video on my machine which has an inbuilt Intel chip and an add in dual display. Unfortunately, no matter how I set the BIOS it will not turn on the inbuilt video when the dual head adapter is in place, so I have made no progress towards helping you sort out your problem.
A workaround: give your presenter a small mirror to prop up on the lectern to see screen 2.
