When I insert a vertical picture into a report, it is automatically rotated 90 degrees to horizontal, and I can't rotate it back. How do I make this stop?

Greetings and welcome to the community forum!

I've not come across that behavior myself. Can you provide a sample image that does this? You can attach it here if it's small (<128k) or give us a link if it's available on the web somewhere.

What could happen is that the viewer you use to look at your pics (outside AOO) uses the EXIF information of the pic to rotate it automatically on screen. But if you import it in another application like AOO, it doesn't use the EXIF information and keep the original layout.
Try to open the pic in a different application like The Gimp and see if you get a warning that the pic has been rotated or if it opens in landscape layout instead of portrait. If so, rotated it and save it.

Please add [Solved] at the beginning of the title in your first post (top of the topic) with the edit button if your issue has been fixed.

Hagar, that was exactly what happened. Thanks. This has been fixed, but boy that's a clunky way of dealing with it... is there a simpler way to rotate these?

Thanks so much for your help!

Perhaps your pic viewer has an option to use or not the EXIF information. Better switch it off to spot those pics and rotate them "manually".

I found one solution by logical chance...I opened the affected pictures in PMView and saved them as the same file. Now they insert properly in AOO Tables.

Thank you Hagar. I will check the EXIF properties of the pics, which were shot with a Canon PowerShot A720 camera, and loaded into the system using Canon's software.
