Why I can't open a file using Openoffice.org?

Hi

Everyone

Does anyone know why I can't seem to open a file using Openoffice.org? Whenever I try to open it a small window appears that says "General error, general input/output error". The size of this file is 195,773 KB.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How can we know without seing that file? What type of file is it? Which application generated that file? For an office document it is extraordinary large.

In addition to Villeroy's questions: did the file originate on your computer, or has it been transferred there? If so, how?
