MD5 CheckSum

Post by Semper Fi »

What is the MD5 CheckSum for the most recent downloadable version of Open Office? I could not locate it anywhere to verify. Please reply as soon as possible. Thank you.

So there is not a new MD5 for the 2.4.1 download vs the 2.4.0 download? I have no reason to think of that my download is somehow corrupt, but that is what I get with the MD5 for the 2.4.0 download, as given when you click the MD5 link off the download page?????? I have been downloading every version since before 2.0 and the is the first corruption I have shown.

You just need to visit the page with the Md5sums for the 2.4.1 release:

If your problem has been solved, please edit this thread's initial post and add "[Solved]" to the subject line. Thanks!

OK, perhaps that will show that my download is OK, but I wonder, since I was on the download page for 2.4.1, when I clicked on the MD5 link from that page, that it took me to the ones for 2.4.0?

Oh, you mean the link on this page: http://download.openoffice.org/
You're right, that still points to the page with md5sums for 2.4.0 rather than 2.4.1. It looks like someone forgot to update the link.

The instructions say that if there is a problem with the site, one can either file a bug in the Issue Tracker or send an email to the webmaster. See: http://www.openoffice.org/contact.html (bottom of page)
If your problem has been solved, please edit this thread's initial post and add "[Solved]" to the subject line. Thanks!

I will send an email to the webmaster. Shouldn't be too hard an issue to correct.
Also, once I got the correct MD5 number, my download is good to go. Thanks for pointing me to the correct MD5.

Is the correct MD5 CheckSum issue resolved yet? If so, please post it here or provide a link for the correct one. Thanks.
