Changing Field Labels in Forms

When one creates a form with the Wizard, the field labels are the variable names from the original table by default. Is there a simple way to change just the labels in the form (the user-inserted values will still tie to the original variable names in the table.)
Thanks.

Hello

Open your form in edit mode then
Press the control key on your keyboard and click the mouse while you select a control in your form.

There are two sub forums for Base one for Tutorials and one for examples you can find there a lot of information

More to read
I think a good starting point can maybe this [Tutorial] Forms in OpenOffice.org Base. You can find there also links to other tutorials. Not all tutorials are even important for you

This tutorial of Arineckaig describes what you can do with the Navigation toolbar and with the navigation control.

I have looked at the tutorials, indices, etc. but still can't figure out how to do this. Sorry.
When I follow your instructions and click on "lable field" I get a box that I can move around. But I have no idea how to get text into it or place that text in place of the default field label.

Hello

I have no idea what I can tell more. I think: Spent a little longer time for understanding the problem. Maybe spent time for describing your problems or read the helpfile.

Hello

I have modified the description a little

Open your form in edit mode then
a)Press the control key on your keyboard and click the mouse
b) Right click on the mouse when the mouse is on the select control. This is done without pressing the control key on your keyboard.
