I downloaded and attempted to install OO3.4.1 on my 64bit Windows 7 system. It goes through the install process and says it is finished, but it hasn't installed anything.
I've tried three downloads, registry clean, reboot, uninstalling the previous version, nothing makes any difference.
I was running OO3.3 just fine, now I don't have it either.
I've done searches and can't find anyone else reporting this problem.
Can I download an earlier version somewhere?
Help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Re: 3.4.1 doesn't install
Hi and welcome to the forum!
First make sure that once you launch AOO, there is no soffice.bin process in the task manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc) if nothing happens.
If no change, try yo reset your OpenOffice user profile.
If no change, make sure that there is no security application that could have blacklisted AOO.
NB: do you at least see the entries in your Start menu?
Please add [Solved] at the beginning of the title in your first post (top of the topic) with the edit button if your issue has been fixed.

Re: 3.4.1 doesn't install
Thank you for responding, Hagar.
When I wrote that it didn't install, I meant that it didn't even create an Open Office directory in Program Files (X86), and it doesn't appear in the Start Menu.
It went through all the installation steps, but completed the last one (installing) in one second and then said it was finished. It did not create a desktop icon even though I had that box checked.
I have restored the files for OO3.3 from my backups and it is working, though now it is not in the Start Menu either.

Strange. First time I see this kind of issue.
Have you tried to switch off the security applications before installing?

Re: 3.4.1 doesn't install
I downloaded a fresh copy of the install file and disabled my security system. Nothing else was running.
The install behaved no differently. Says the installation is finished, no error messages.
This morning I installed a different program successfully, so the problem seems unique to OO.
