Hello to everyone. I'm just new to this forum and registered because I have some problems with open office writer. My work has the version 2.3.1 of writer,so i have received a document that is in the format of .doc(microsoft word) that have more or less 25 pages,with a front page with some pictures and the rest all TEXTS.

I have been trying to open this document for days, and when I try to open it, it says it has some security problems with the macro so it cant be open normally.

I have tried modifying some settings in the open office but nothing worked/changed. It is always the same: after that message came out and I press ENTER and instead of showing 25 pages, it only shows 3pages: the front page and the last 2 pages of the whole document.

Can you please help me. I'm using windows XP.

What is the exact error when you say "it has some security problems with the macro". Do you know if the document opens without problem in Word?

i cant explain the error clearly because its in italian,i can say its saying that open office has some problem with that MACRO thing. The document can be open normally in microsoft word because it was made with that office program.

Sorry, I don't know if you are Italian or English speaking in some Italian Internet Cafe. Perhaps you could just let us know the Italian Error message and leave the translation to us. If the content is not proprietary and the file not too big then you could always try emailing it to me (this user ID at OpenOffice.Org) and I will take a look. If I can convert it to ODT format I can email it back.

Or install the English language pack in order to give and understand the exact messages and directions in menus: Change language for user interface (menus & help files).
