[Solved] Auto updating graph problem

Post by geoffm1234 »

hey guys, I have a problem with my auto updating graph, when I use the stand formatting my graph updates its self every time data is changed, however when i change the colors and axis' the graph stops auto updating. In the file I am going to upload for you guys I have a small graph (in the format I want it to be in) and a large graph (openoffice standard formatting)

Any help would be great

Yellow cells can be changed by the user, all other cells are controlled by in-cell equations. Oh and this is a physics drag equation used for determining where a potato fired from a potato gun will land, it is not quite finished and there will be a 3rd axis in the near future.

My guess is you have made the small chart by first copying the large chart then reformatting the resulting pasted copy.
When you use copy/paste with a chart the copied chart's data is in a "Chart Data Table" which is derived from, but not linked to, the sheet data.
To make a chart copy that uses the same sheet data, hold down the Ctrl key then click and drag the original chart.
