[Solved] [Info] Java's stopped my Base working again

A new Java 1.70_15 self installed on my machine just now and deleted all my old Java 1.6 installs from Base.
This action also self destructed my Base functionality
I hope they're still in my downloads dir. because last time it took me an age to locate and download them (possibly because it was my first time)
I sense that Oracle are making it ever more awkward to not use the latest 1.7, but 1.7 doesn,t work with Base (no Java installation could be found)
If this is your first time for these messages BEWARE!

Sorry I forgot
First find a copy of 1.6.0_38 from Oracle Downloads (they'll try to hide it from you)
Install it
Open Base if it isn't open (no need to close it)
Go to tools>options>Java
move highlight to: use 1.6 (highest version)

Java 7 is the recommended version and should work with Base.

Thanks dmeyers, that was months ago and I already had a 1.6 downloaded for myself and the post was INFO f or others in difficulty
A better fix is to install MS C++ 2010 reditributable and MSNet framework 4 then Java 7 becomes accessible, perhaps it was there all along. OO just unable to see it. I recently got a Win7 machine with new OO download and cannot recall whether that worked straight from the box but now works fine with J7.0_25 and _22 before that
