I was just wondering, will there be new icons in version 3.0 of OOo? Or are we sticking to the oldbie icons that we currently use? Sorry if this is in the wrong place; I stuck it in beginner talk since the forum description said, "Don't know where to post?" And I read the other descriptions; I don't think General Discussion would have fit this bill, since it's not a general discussion topic about something other than OOo.
I made one of my own conception. You can see it over here on DeviantART: http://velvetsea42.deviantart.com/art/O ... t-86162267
I CAN make more for the other apps too if you'd like, this thing's pretty easy to edit in comparison to the office 2007 icon I did in flash.

Icon design and other glitz are a personal decision, I think. Windows has the means to exchange any icon, one for another, so the world's your stage.

I meant desktop icon sets, not GUI Icon sets, but meh. I really don't care for MLs either.AndrewZ wrote:Yes, there is the new galaxy icon set. To get in touch with the right people, contact them at the mailing list dev@ui.openoffice.org at http://ui.openoffice.org/servlets/Proje ... ngListList

OOo calls them MIME type icons, and Galaxy has its own. I suppose they should all match for a single branding.

In any case, you can contact the people at that mailing list to see what you can do with your designs.

Off topic but, gee I wish I had an eye for design!
