Deleted files: how to recover?

I have accidently deleted a file. A text doc. Is there anyway to retrieve this. I have not turned off the 'puter. Ann

Google for some form of Undelete utility. Some such utility may or may not work.

I've used PhotoRec successfully in the past.
LibreOffice 25.2 on Linux Mint Debian Edition (LMDE 7 Gigi) and 25.2 portable on Windows 11.

Just to be clear, did you delete it from its folder and from the Recycle folder on the desktop? Files that are "deleted" go into the Recycle until it is full and then are removed on a first-in-first-out basis. I have more than a year's worth of deletions in there.

If you not click shift+delete then it must be in your recycle bin. If shift+delete you can get it by system restore
