I'm quite annoyed by LO Impress. After working for a long time it froze beyond recovery. I didn't lose so much work, though.
I was writing inside a textbox. I wrote "work." whick automatically was corrected to "Work.". I then tried reverse the change by pressing C+z, twice. First nothing happened, second the program froze (got greyed out).

Re: LO Impress hangs
LibO on Linux have an option (disabled on AOO) that gives lots of headaches for Impress: Tools → Options → OpenOffice.org → View → Use hardware acceleration. Just uncheck it. If that do not help, you found a new bug.
There are two types of people: those who believe that there are two types of people and those who do not.

You can install AOO and run it in parallel (if LibO has been installed with the debs from their website, not the version delivered out of the box): [Ubuntu] Installing OOo on Debian and Co. Perhaps AOO will do better.
