small capitals

I am currently working on a presentation with a lot of literature references. I want to use the font effect "small capitals". But -> Format -> Charakter does not help. The function "effect" on the tab "font effect" ( the way it works in writer) simply doesn't exist. Same problem in Linux and Windows version.

anybody knows something? I don't want to write everything in writer, copy and paste it.

The only other option I can think of is to use a font that has small caps built-in (which usually looks better anyway). E.g. Re: Free OpenType Fonts.
