Writer... Paragraph window won't appear

Hey all,

I've had OpenOffice installed on my laptop since I got it about 8 months ago and I haven't came across any problems -- until today that is.

For some reason when I go to Format>Paragraph in the menubar or right-click>Paragraph the window that allows you set various values, namely double spacing, doesn't appear. I've never ran into this before... it just started doing this today.

What I've tried so far:
Install latest update - Same Problem
Restart - Same Problem
Uninstall/Reinstall - Same Problem
Restart (again) - Same Problem

OpenOffice acts as though the modal Paragraph window is open since it won't let me click on or close the parent window (the OpenOffice Writer main window). Once I hit the enter key control is taken back to the OpenOffice Write main window. So it's like OpenOffice thinks the paragraph window is open... but it isn't.

Has anybody ever encountered this before?

Few ideas:
1. Could the window be hidden behind other windows?
2. Did you use recently a dual screen? Could that window be on the second screen?
3. If you use Windows, click on Format > Paragraph, then press Alt+space (together), m ("m" for Move), and use several times the arrows keys on your keyboard to "move" the window.
