Downloading Open Office

Post by svblackwattle »

I had 2.3 running no problem at all, and then downloaded 2.4 and started to have systems failing - spell check and then find/replace. So I uninstalled the programme and now when I try to load it, it gets to 99% and then stops and the programme goes 'not responding' -I have tried it a few times. I am desperate as I work on the internet and this has stopped me completely. Can anyone help?

That's an issue with your OS or web browser. Use a download manager so that it can resume transfers. There are Firefox extensions that work well. Check also the md5sum.

Thanks to add '[Solved]' at beginning of your first post title (edit button) if your issue has been fixed.

I use and like BitTorrent clients to download OpenOffice.org. I use Azureus or uTorrent. They are very reliable and let you throttle large downloads. If you chose this route, use this link http://distribution.openoffice.org/p2p/
