Good day to all: I have a serious problem with
Open Office 3.3 that I am hoping you can help me solve. I am running Open Office 3.3 on a Mac Mini (Mid 2010) 8gb RAM: using Mac OS 10.7.3. Until now, I have been using Open Office since 2010 with no problems. Today, the computer 'required a shutdown' while I was looking something up on the web. Apparently Open Office was still open while this happened. Upon the system restart, Open Office relaunched with the following message:
Restore Windows
The application “OpenOffice.org” unexpectedly quit while trying to restore its windows. Do you want to try to restore its windows again?
Clicking on either button in the dialogue box: "Don't Restore Windows" or "Restore Windows" does nothing/does not respond; which, in turn, results in many menu choices remaining grayed out, notably:
About Open Office - Preferences -Quit Open Office -Save -Save All -Cut - Copy
and several more
This, effectively renders the program unusable.
I force quit the program and did a system restart, with the same result. I downloaded another copy of OO 3.3 , trashed the existing application and Reinstalled Open Office 3.3 with the Writer2epub extension 1.1.17 with the same result.
I continued with several restarts, and repeated the reinstall procedure to no result. Past experience has taught me that there is a preference file or some other support file buried somewhere that I need to trash to fix this. Meanwhile, I have no Office Suite to do my work. Please help.

Did you delete the file "org.openoffice.script.savedState". It is located this folder:
/Users/<user name>/Library/Saved Application State
