Rectangle with two columns of text

Post by ByteRyder »

I'm making a flow chart in which some of the boxes have two columns of text. I don't see how to do this in the Draw Guide or from playing with Draw. I thought perhaps having two text objects in a box could work, but apparently that isn't allowed by Draw. Is there a way to do this?

I don't think it's supported for text boxes.

Can you not simply use two separate text boxes?

If you really, really need a 2-column text box, create it in Writer, then paste it into your drawing. As you'll see, it's a little weird, but it can work.

Can't use two boxes. I'll try it with Writer. Thanks!

Just to be clear: you want to create a text frame in Writer: Insert > Frame, then change the frame properties to do two columns, and whatever else you need. Actually, all you really need is the frame: you can configure it just as well after you move it over to Draw.

The text boxes in Writer (from the drawing toolbar) don't support >1 column either.
