I installed LO 3.5 Beta 3 and when I boot up the computer it is trying to access IP address 224.0.0.22.
Why?

Re: soffice.bin trying to access an IP
224.0.0.22 is a multicast IP address, so you might search on the LIbO site where you downloaded the software for the phrase multicast.
If you have run earlier LibO versions that did not show this behaviour, chances are that you find something about it in the change logs of the Beta release.

OpenOffice 3.1.1 (2.4.3 until October 2009) and LibreOffice 3.3.2 on Windows 2000, AOO 3.4.1 on Windows 7
There are several macro languages in OOo, but none of them is called Visual Basic or VB(A)! Please call it OOo Basic, Star Basic or simply Basic.

Re: soffice.bin trying to access an IP
I got it from here http://www.libreoffice.org/download/pre-releases/
The only thing that says or have a portion of multicast is in the file name.
I have blocked this IP address to see what happens to LO.
So far I have not seen it again.
