Whenever I attempt to open Open Office, a dialogue window pops up saying "The application “OpenOffice.org” was forced to quit while trying to restore its windows. Do you want to try to restore its windows again?" There are two options, one saying yes and one saying no, however, clicking on either option will not cause the dialogue window to close. This dialogue window cannot be closed at all and it freezes the program so that the only way I can exit out of it is by force quitting.
I looked on the forum already and it was mentioned that making a new user profile helped to remedy this situation. I believe I did that since I got the dialogue window asking for my name and initials again, however, this still did not fix the problem. I have also deleted the program and reinstalled it only to get the same result! Is there anything at all that I can do?
My computer is a Mac OS X Lion 10.7.2

Re: Document Recovery Error
Hi and welcome to the forum!
Does it occur when you open any document or only some of them? Or when you just start OOo without opening any document at all (your profile being just new)?

Re: Document Recovery Error
I've attempted to open it by using a few different documents and all of them cause that error to pop up and won't open. I usually open the program directly from my applications folder, no luck there.

See this thread http://user.services.openoffice.org/en/ ... 17&t=43095 , especially the posts towards the end of the thread.

Re: Document Recovery Error
Okay the step to delete the save states from the GRMrGecko ended up working, I opened up the program from my applications folder and no dialogue window. Hopefully this solution will work if the problem starts happening again.
